Catherine Carey, after her marriage Catherine Knollys and later known as both Lady Knollys and Dame Catherine Knollys, was chief Lady of the Bedchamber to Queen Elizabeth I, who was her first cousin. She was the daughter of Mary Boleyn, sister to queen consort Anne Boleyn. She and her brother Henry Carey, 1st Baron Hunsdon, were rumoured to be illegitimate children of Henry VIII.
